Spending time together as a family is difficult when everybody leads such busy lives. If you’re on a tight budget and it’s a nice day, then simply heading out into the countryside for a family bike ride is a nice way to spend some quality time together. Kids love outdoor activities and it’s a great way to help the whole family stay fit and healthy. Pack a picnic and stop off at lunchtime to eat and recover before jumping back on your bikes for the second leg. If you plan to reach a destination, such as a play park or a café, it can be even more rewarding and will spur you all on to keep going when you’re feeling tired.

If you like to spend your weekends at home, then hosting a barbeque for your family is a great excuse to get everyone together. Stock up on everyone’s favorite food and drink and have a selection of garden games to keep the kids entertained.
