Ever have a “gut feeling†that you ignored, only to have it come back to bite you? Most of us have. Well, you don’t have to ignore your intuition and, in some cases, it might save your life. Here are several ways you can tune into your “gut sense†and trust this ancient inner voice of wisdom.
Clear Your Mind
Want to know how to develop your own psychic ability? First, clear your mind. it’s harder than it sounds. Most people have noisy heads – no not tinnitus. They have swirling thoughts that just won’t go away. Now, sometimes, this can be due to a nutritional deficiency. But, sometimes, it’s due to a lack of control over self-awareness.
If you spend a lot of time multi-tasking, you probably have a busy mind and you need to settle down. It’s important to find some ways to quiet it. You can’t shut off your thoughts completely, and it’s impossible to be truly “empty minded.†But, you can quiet your mind, and focus on something peaceful – a singular thing.
Meditation
Meditation is the way to get your mind to focus on one thing and one thing only. There are many forms or meditation, and they all have benefits. The simplest method is to sit in a quiet room or play some meditative music (music that helps you relax, like chanting or Tibetan bells or you can hum to yourself).
Meditation will help you “prime the pump†of your conscious and subconscious mind. Focusing on one thing is actually quite difficult.
If you choose a sound to focus on, or a visual stimuli, like a single burning candle, your goal is to block out everything else. Nothing else should enter your conscious mind. Try not to set up a meditation session that will frustrate you. It will only complicate the process and make it impossible for your to focus.
Imagery
Imagery can be used to help access your intuitive answers to your questions. Imagine yourself in a quiet place in nature. Imagine you’re surrounded by beauty and wonder.
Spend a few moments just enjoying this place in your mind.
Imagine a field of flowers, a waterfall, or a sandy beach – somewhere, anywhere, where you’d like to spend eternity. Take a deep breath, and imagine yourself in this place. Don’t try to control what you imagine beyond the general place. Let your subconscious mind guide you. This is your intuition.
Dreams
Dreams are another good way to get in touch with your subconscious. While you’re resting, your soul has the opportunity to bring up intuitive information and present it to you in visual/dream form.
Keep a journal by your bed so that you can write down what you dreamed about. This way, you can spend hours analyzing what happened during your dream. Your dream may be symbolically linked to what’s happening in your daily life and it might shed some light on a solution to the problems you’re facing.
Affirmations
Affirmations can also focus your mind. It’s best to use affirmations with some kind of relaxing meditation, like deep breathing or visualization. They’re also a great way to help you reach into your conscious desires through your subconscious.
Practice
Practice makes perfect, and so it is with getting in touch with your intuitive side. You have to practice meditation, focus, affirmations, visualizations, and dreaming every day and night to hone your intuition.
