When I was a kid, I would melt semi-sweet chocolate chips and peanut butter in the microwave, stir them up together, and eat it with a spoon. I know it’s kind of gross, but every once in a great while…once a year or so…I still do it!

I have to say Chocolate is very loved in our family. We love to bake with it, make candy with it and I think if we could, we would play in it.
My favorite type of chocolate would be any that included mint. Mint and Chocolate go hand and hand. That being said, I really enjoy Lindt and Ghirardelli brands. Good luck to everyone; I know we can all use a bit of chocolate in our lives.

And we are due for another batch….the kids and I have started to make a special chocolate treat for all the holidays. We call them ‘pretzeldoodles’. They might go by another name. HUGS Kiss (I love white chocolate) melted onto a square pretzel and topped with an M&M (we use all the fun holiday colors they put out). It is such an amazing treat. And the colder the better…we keep them in the fridge. MMM good.

Oh fun!! My favorite is from this little french bakery in Dallas. They make these wonderful little chocolate mousse cups and the cup is made out of solid chocolate and then filled with chocolate mousse. It’s so rich and yummy!

MmmmMMMMM Chocolate! My fave is milk chocolate. But not like your regular Hershy’s kiss or anything. I prefer Dove chocolate because it’s smooth and creamy, not hard and “crunchy”.
(I know, that’s not like gourmet, but to this po’ woman, it is!)
I like caramel with chocolate, and toffee. Not too fond of nuts in my chocolate. Especially not pecans or walnuts… I’m allergic to those.

How can you pick just one favorite type of chocolate. There is a type of chocolate for every type of mood and situation. My favorite chocolate treat really depends on my mood. Maybe I would go for chocolate ice cream, or homemade chocolate chip cookies. I don’t buy much chocolate by itself because it would be gone too fast. A 3-month supply would truly be a treat for me.

I am a pushover for white chocolate. I love how silky and smooth it is. I love how it goes so well with fruits. Also it is not so heavy that you feel sickly full.

I love chocolate with any kind of nuts in it. Cashews, almonds, peanuts or peanut butter. I am not too picky with chocolate though, my kids like it anyway it comes!!

I like chocolates with any type of biscuit in it. Like some dark chocolates - must not be be too bitter. I like plain chocolate, Top Deck a mixture of white and plain chocolate.
Lindt is very nice but quite expensive in South Africa.
