When Bringing Up Boys released in 1999 it established a whole new set of standards for how we as parents, should be raising our boys. Over the last several years as therapists Stephen James and David Thomas continued to research the topic and counsel young boys. What they’ve discovered is raising boys is more an art then a rule of thumb, more about nurturing then focusing on behavior modifications. Now their book Wild Things continues the conversation of parenting boys for today’s generation of moms.
Within the past several decades, our culture has adopted a model of parenting and educating boys that doesn’t affirm, celebrate, or invite their hunger, passion, or wildness. Playing off the themes in the award-winning children’s book Where the Wild Things Are, along with their own personal experiences raising boys, James and Thomas illuminate the world of a boy and the role of the adults around him in their new book Wild Things.

Open Season 2 – Fun Family Movie!
If you are looking for a fun movie that the entire family will enjoy – Open Season 2 is your answer! Our entire family enjoyed this ; my husband and myself, our 15 year old son and 7 year old daughter. In fact, I think my husband and I laughed more than the kids did.
All the main characters are back along with several new ones to enjoy. Each character has their own little endearing quirkiness. The story moves quickly so it keeps both the adults and kids entertained and on their toes. The story offers an undertone message of being environmentally conscious. This is a movie we will definately be watching again.
SYNOPSIS:
Boog (Mike Epps) and Elliot (Joel McHale) are back for more crazy adventures! After falling head over hooves in love with Giselle (Jane Krakowski), Elliot’s road to the altar takes a slight detour when Mr. Weenie (Cody Cameron) is kidnapped by a group of pampered pets determined to return him to his owners. Boog, Elliot, McSquizzy (Billy Connelly), Buddy and the rest of the woodland creatures launch a full-scale rescue mission for their sausage-shaped friend and soon find themselves in enemy camp: the world of the pets. Led by a toy poodle named Fifi (Crispin Glover), the pets do not plan to let Mr. Weenie go without a fight.
