We have a local author here that wrote a book and it is a great one. 
Jennifer Adkins-"Adventures in Mommying"
I also like anything by Dr. Ari Brown, Dr Sears
I am a big fan of parenting books that make my laugh and let me know my child is the only one who does it!

I recieved a parenting book at my baby shower for my 1st child. it is based on Christian parenting.. but i find it to be for every mother.. you all should really this book. i have had it now 11 years, and i keep going back to it a million times: Sheperding A Child's Heart by Dr. Tedd Tripp it has been a huge help in raising my children Smiley

Someone just recommended to me "Have a new kid by Friday" by Kevin Leman.
I heard it was pretty good so I am going to check that out!
