We got an extra room (well is suppose to be for the baby but shes 2 months and sleeps next to us) and I took it over with my scrap crap.

But Im able to because I made it a business, its main purpose is to help me get new scrappy toys and raise scrapbooking kits that I donate to foster associations around the country.

I took on a partner (a friend) she does all the scrapbooking work for clients and I do all the altered art/crafts, marketing, and business management.

We now have an excuse to hang out in the craft room every morning scrapping, since we are "working". Smiley

Check out the blog. Im always in need of guest bloggers to go post their scrappy thoughts and ideas. And of course I love comments.

When I have scrapped, it's always been on a binge - a whole entire weekend of occupying the living room - stopping only to visit the bathroom or snack.  That happened BEFORE I was married and a mommy.  I have cropped pictures, pages ready, etc., but if I even THINK about getting started, someone is discovered playing in the toilet or needing their toxic diaper changed, or eating the green florist foam out of a basket of silk plants (yes - I did call poison control - not toxic, just a choking hazard), or hubby comes home early from work and wants family time.  I don't have time for me and scrapping was my BEST therapy...  Maybe I need a room at someone else's house where I can go scrap for an hour - you know - go away, do my thing, leave it untouched until the next time I can get back to it...  Sounds like Paradise, doesn't it?

you might benefit from a crop group. We have a few here that meet once a month but its a 12 hour event on a weekend day. There breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, raffles, goodie bags, swaps, challenges, music..... The organizer even had a gal doing chair massages for $1 a min!

Its a scrappin EXPERIENCE.

Heres the link to my local one and Im sure you can find others near you on meetup.com

Scrapbooking and Stamping is my hobby and passion!!  I have been scrapbooking now for 12 years.  I have 44 completed albums.  Believe it or not I am up to date with all my pictures.  I have a great scrapbook room.  Which I redo all the time!!  I am a stampin up Demo.  ( you can join my newsletter if you go to my site) http://www.cjsoto.stampinup.net  I give my discounts to everyone...

I am on a design team which I love. This summer I am teaching a stamping and scrapbooking camp to 200 kids....

I would love to meet others who scrapbook and share ideas.

I used to do a huge amount of paper scrapping, until I started with digital.

If you are a paper scrapper, please, please, archive your books. Scan them and then store them digitally. That way if something happens to the book, the work  and the memories are not lost.

Here is one of my paper turned digital books.  http://www.heritagemakers.com/?event=projectBrowse&projectId=fda07f65-5738-4002-b9d5-ec8f03337d76&productId=1&projectSponsor=237473

I love scrapbooking so much.  I actually scrapbook a little each day to keep up.  Usually when my son goes down for a nap.  I have a system I started when I got married.  I scrapbooked our wedding, than 3 years later my pregnancy, and now I scrapbook my sons life one year at a time.  When he has a birthday I start a new scrapbook.  I buy a lot of products from different places.  Most recently I started buying from TLC (Top of Line Company) and love their paper.  I also but from Close to My heart and creative memories.  I have a paper addiction and really wish there was a 12-step program for it.  It is that bad.  I use all of it but I also have a lot and it all goes in  case and sometimes it does not all fit!  giggle I enjoy it because it relaxes me a lot of times when I am stressed.

I just posted on the digital scrapbooking thread - I'm a digi scrapper! I used to be a paper scrapper with approximately 3,761 pounds of stuff but now that I'm digi, it's all in my computer.

However, I am still addicted to patterned paper. I never use it. I just buy it and stare at it.

I LOVE scrapbooking.  I do a lot of the 'hands on' variety, but it can be tough with the twins because they want to get into EVERYTHING so I normally do it when they are napping or when I should be sleeping.  I've recently gotten into digital scrapbooking and it's fun, but for something that I want to keep, I prefer doing it the hard way LOL.

I have a few pages up on my craft blog http://currentlycrafting.blogspot.com.

I don't scrapbook just cause I don't have room for too many scrapbooks.  BUT, I love me some card making!  I do love to send cards.
I took our extra bedroom for my craft room.  I am sooooo needed to get back into it.  It has been almost a year since I made anything.  Just cause the little guy came along doesn't mean that I shouldn't find some ME time!
LOL!

I am a scrapbooker, card maker, stamper, ... I love to alter things and make them pretty... I sometimes post things I've made on my blog, but will be doing more of that in the future.  I will be going to a scrapbook retreat in No. California in a couple of weeks and I can.not.wait!   I hope to learn more about digital scrapbooking there, but for now I am an "anything goes" scrapper. daisy
