A few of us were talking in another thread about hosting services and it seemed a good idea to start a discussion for everyone to see.

So can anyone make a confident recommendation of a hosting service that has a great record?

We're talking about things like little or no downtime, 24hr/7day support that actually supports you 24hrs a day, easy to understand FAQs...

A wholehearted wahoo for http://www.lyonshost.com, LyonsHost.  My husband has a VERY high-traffic web site and we made the switch to LyonsHost several years ago and have never regretted it for a minute.  We have a reseller account, actually, which means that technically I could host you but I wouldn't; I'm not that tech savvy on the hosting end of things.  Mainly we got the reseller account because hubby's traffic is so huge and I like to play around with different domains.

Jonathan is the owner and here's a true story about him:  One time, on a Sunday afternoon 2 or 3 years ago, he called to advise me that there was some sort of a technical issues, what he was doing to fix it and when it would be up. We didn't even know there was a problem.  He is AMAZING for customer service.  VERY PERSONAL.  As long as he is in business, we will never go anywhere else.  Ever.

If any of you ladies are into beading or polymer clay, you might know his wife Barbara Forbes-Lyons from some of the online beading and polymer clay groups.

I really need to move asap, now...   scared

I've been having problems for days now and hasn't responded, so I *urgently* need to move.
I was going to wait until September, but I've just had enough.   dunno

I've found another service called momwebs.com, and want to compare it with the one Willow recommended...

Has anyone heard anything either way about momwebs.com???
Or do you know anyone who uses them?   please
