Is it possible to put a quick reply box at the bottom of a thread?  Thanks!

Yes there is.  If you go into your settings you are able to change that.  I have done it on mine, and it is SO much better!!! Smiley

It's a text box at the bottom of a thread. You can type your reply in there instead of clicking the reply button and having it load a new page. Smiley

thanks .... but I still don't see it.  I'm usually pretty good at the technical type stuff.  Should it be at the bottom of the page of each thread?

yes it should be at the bottom. It'll just save you from hitting reply at the bottom of a thread, save load time and such. Wink  Its a setting that you'd have to set up though.  Its not an automatic thing (or it wasn't when I changed my options Wink )

Click on the Profile button at the top, under the Look and Layout Preferences (Use quick reply on topic display:) change the dropdown to show, on by default.

Once you turn it on, you'll see it at the bottom of each thread.

Okay..... now I have a new question.  When I use the quick-reply (which I love!), how come I can no longer see all the fabulous smileys?

On the quick reply, you do not have access to them. Because it's meant to just type in a quick message and submit.  If you remember their code name, you can always type it in, but to see them and the other features, you have to click through on the reply button.   Smiley
