I have been getting so-so traffic for sometime now. Then my sister decided to submit my blog to stumbleupon. Voila! I got more than 100 new traffic to my site! Not bad...

I was informed that link exchange is also effective but I have not tried it yet.

So does it charge you?  I went to check it out today and it said I think 5 cents a link.

Stumbleupon, is basically, a website where you can go to, and just find new and random websites to take a look at Wink

Someonen said they got an extra 100 hits ... in a day, a week, a month?  I can't imagine what that would feel like?

I might go and try that out.

I'm on technorati (no help yet, still building 'authority'), and blogcatalog (some traffic), but every little bit helps, doesn't it?

I like technorati ... a lot.  I guess I want to be an "authority" figure.  Here's a quick way to add some authority.  On Friday's I host a Friday Foto Finish Fiesta.  With Blogger you can do it ahead any time and prepost so it just shows up on Friday.

You just pick out one of your favorite photos and post it on your blog and just explain why it is one of your favorites.  Easy, huh?

Then you link it to me with a shout out to Candid Carrie or Candid Carrie's Hosting blah blah blah (only don't say blah blah blah).

It can be as subtle or obvious as you want as long as you link to me inside your post.  Send me an email saying you are going to play along and I will include a link to your blog WITHIN my blog and that adds to your technorati total.  It adds to my technorati total because you link to me within your blog.

Plus, I've got a lot of readers that like to check out what other people posted so it is a win/win for technorati mongers, for me, for you, and ultimately there will be world peace.

Sounds great Carrie. I'll have a hunt through and find something Smiley

~I just remembered why I was back at this thread. I've added a couple of pages from my blog to stumbleupon, but haven't noticed anything so far.

But I have noticed some traffic from here Cheesy  thanks girls!

Stumbleupon is awesome for traffic.  Most of the traffic doesn't stick around and subscribe, but every once in a while they'll comment.

To make the most out of stumbleupon, you need to install the toolbar and stumble other people's sites as well.  If you submit your own site too often, it stops being effective.

You need to be careful Aimee.  Your odometer reading is getting kind of high.  Our mama moderator might have to generate an Aimee 2.0 if you get burned out to quickly.
