I am currently trying to figure out a way to use my blog and other social media outlets to help an old friend of mine who is in DIRE financial trouble. I am still working on it. In the meantime, if everyone who happenes by this post could pray that this man does not lose his children, his family, he has already lost so much- I think that maybe the power of positive thinking might send something good his way.

I'll keep you all updated on what I decide to do. Maybe a giveaway? I just don't want to appear pushy or like I am begging to anyone. But I guess in essence I am. This man lost his job due to recession/eceonomy and as a result lost his car and his place to live. He has 4 children. Fortunately, they were able to go live with their mother, while he had to go live in a shelter. He was able to find a man who was willing to do odd jobs in exchange for rentng a one room apt. from him. But because of this, he has fallen several months behind in his child support. His ex doesn't want him to go to jail, but can not stop the court from doing so, because of the state legalities. If he can not pay 1200, he will go to jail for 3-6 mos.
This man lives for his children. I have known him for 20 years. He is a regular guy. A hrad worker. A middle class, blue collar, family man- just like many of our husbands and significant others. He has gone so far as to take every demeaning job he could find just to make a few dollars to pay towards the support money. it's not even the jail time that he is upset about. It is A) that he feels like he let his children down and B) Not seeing them. he has never spent more than one day away from his children in their lives.
His heart is breaking and so is mine. Because how many of us are just a paycheck away from that fate? How many of us could find ourselves down and out if the recession were to turn against us or our spouse? It is awful.

So, as I said, thanks for reading this and please say a prayer.

I have a paypal account set up as some kind people have asked how they can donate to him. If anyone wants that info. just message me and please pass it on.
Thanks for sticking through this whole long post.
