My mil has been an lpn for about 30 years now.  That's about as close as I get to nursing.

You are lucky you can go back to work.  As a former teacher, if I went back I would basically make only enough money to cover daycare and the cost of gas going back and forth.
sad isn't it?

Good luck with the new job blessed.  I'll keep my fingers crossed your bills get paid quickly!

I will find out tomorrow if I got the job or not, the DON had to take her vacation and she is going to be back tomorrow. The interview went well, we will just have to wait and see. I am nervous about going back and hope to get this over with soon! Smiley

LOL totally off topic but we called my boobs "the nurses" for my daughter. So it made me laugh reading "Any nurses out here?" I'm a dork.

That is cute "the nurses"  Wink. Makes sense too! I have a bunch of nurses in my family, my mom and cousin are both RN's and my aunt and a couple of other cousins are LPNs and CNAs. I'll have to tell my mom about the "nurses" nickname for nursing boobs, she'll get a kick out of that!

I heart most nurses.  I had a terminally ill daughter for seven years with twenty four hour nursing care until the very end.  Not all nurses are created equal and not all in home nurses should be nurses.

So, I heart most nurses.  When my second son was about five years old, I can't remember what I did for him but just kidding around I said, "who is your favorite mother" and he quickly replied, "I don't know, I haven't met them all yet."

So, the same goes for nurses.  I think I'll use that quote of his in a post this week.  I better go blog it before I forget.

Tara!  I just totally checked out your blog after you made me snort!!!!  You are not a dork--just VERY clever with the baby lingo!  LOVE IT and your blog and your baby is B-E-Utiful!  I love Wordless Wed. on a Tuesday.

Oh, and as to nurses?  Well, I'm jaded because my MIL is an LPN-had been for like 30 years-and well, she my MIL.
My heart goes out to nurses though, i couldn't imagine doing their job, but AM so grateful they are there when I need them.  (I break things--like bones--and fight with knives sometimes (all on accident--like Tim in Home Improvement) so hospitals are not strange to me.)  Oops there I go again--getting all off the topic.

Wow!  I need to go take a nap.  So this is what no sleep feels like!

Yep, Been one for 15 years  oh my

I feel blessed to have a good job that pays well, but for some reason people think we make BOOKU BUCKS and that is not true. Certain specialties pay more than others, but for the amount of crud we put up with on the job, we all need a raise!

I actually blogged about this a while back. Here is the post!

Oh, you've been working, Johnina!  I am going to need to see a picture of you in a nurse's uniform ... you can do that for me, can't you?  Please?  Nurse, get me a picture.  STAT.
