Petit Mal Seizures

Does anyone have any experience with a child who has petit mal seizures?

I have noticed my almost 2 year old daughter doing something unusual with her eyes in the last month or so. I have been trying to catch her on video tape doing it and it hasn't been possible so far. But, it is very hard to describe.

But, this is what I am seeing- it is almost like she kind of zones out for a second or two. She doesn't have any jerky hand, leg or arm movements. Her eyes just look different like spaced out for only for a second. Sometimes her upper eye lids droop just half way down. Other times she just stares straight ahead. When I say her name she doesn't respond to me. At the same ignoring that can be pretty typical toddler behavior.

I've been searching the internet trying to figure out if I'm overreacting or if this could be petit mal seizures. Anyone know anything?
