hey Amy,

I've always wondered who uses the personal chef service.  Is your clientele more executive families?  I'm assuming that many are moms who work outside the home, or maybe single guys who just can't cook - or am I off base?

Can I ask how many clients you have?  I think this is such an interestin business!

My clients vary - but mainly they are busy families.  Also as you mentioned - people who don't like to cook or don't know how to cook or just don't have time to cook.  They have said I have saved them money b/c they don't have wasted trips to the grocery store, spend more money on take out, buy groceries and then throw them out b/c they never got to making the meal.

My number of clients changes each week - it may be a regular personal chef client (making dinners for them), an in-home catering, or dinner party.  I usually work outside my home 3 days a week - cooking for clients and the other time is spent with paperwork, menu planning, and my family.

Hope this help explain it a little more.

Wow Amy, what a great site! This is something I would love to do. Do you cook in their homes? I need to find a commercial kitchen to rent out someplace.
Congrats on a successful business!

If you don't have access to a commercial kitchen, you must cook out of your client's home kitchen b/c of health regulations.  Most people like this b/c then they know their food was made in their own kitchen.

thanks!!

I love this idea!  I'm just curious- how many clients do you have and how much time do you spend doing this?
