I don't read Dooce either. I'm like the only person in this country who doesn't  Roll Eyes

Oh, no you are not - there's ME, too  Wink I don't really see what the big deal is about her blog TBH - don't mean to be catty, just don't totally get the huge popularity.

I really want an elliptical...that would make things easier for me.

Aimee, we got ours at Sears, 50% off, for a little over 400 dollars!!! I was so excited to finally have one - and dh gave in because it was such a good offer.

But I think if you have a TV and DVD player in more than one room in the house, workout DVDs are also a great way to exercise. You can just close the door while the family has dinner, or while baby takes a nap, or whatever spells 20 minutes of peace for you  Wink and pop it in. I like the 10 Minute Solution workouts because you can decide how many segmants you want to do based on your level of energy and how much time you have to spare. And they have it everything: dance, Pilates, yoga, strength, kickboxing, bootcamp... I got a lot of my most recent workouts through SwapaDVD, which is the DVD correspondent of PaperbackSwap (which I mentioned in another post). I love those websites, whoever created them is a genius! I didn't join the CD one though, because there are additional fees for transactions I think.

Who is the Author?

Jen Lancaster. It's hilarious! Now I'm trying to get the next one from her, it's called "Bright Lights, Big Ass". She has a blog too, it's at www.jennsylvania.com

me too, me too!

I'm not sure, I think you set up a page where you list who is participating and people can sign up and link back. I think  Huh? Embarrassed

I like Christi - I don't think she was a shoo-in, she is learning some really complex choreographies and it's totally different from what she did on the ice! Plus she has to dance with a partner. The only advantage she has is that she is graceful, really - the rest is hard work IMO. I hope she wins.

Last season I was really rooting for Mel B and Max, and I wasn't really happy when Elio and Johanna or what's her name won  Sad

I just posted about the movie on a different thread!

I'm looking forward to seeing the movie, I own the complete series and have seen it 3 times now  Smiley
13  Entertainment / Books / book swapping on: May 16, 2008, 12:45:32 AM
My bookshelves are a lot less cluttered and I have been savings money on reading material since I found PaperbackSwap.com! (they also accept hardback and audio books) and now I also found BookMooch  Grin

I now have all books from the Shopaholic series in very good condition, without spending a dime :-)

The one I'm readin now is from a similar series, it's "Bitter is the new black", which is really funny.

I'd love to get back to more edifying reading materials once I get more sleep on a regular basis, but for the time being I'm sticking to light reads  Smiley
14  Health and Fitness / Exercise / Re: Who Has Time? on: May 16, 2008, 12:41:15 AM
the only exercise I get is when I manage to get 20-30 min. on the elliptical while baby naps or when we go for a walk... which I don't do a lot as apparently sidewalks are considered a luxury where I live  Angry

Hello ladies  Smiley

Elisa here, 31, happily married, two lovely daughters (8 and 2).

I think my biggest problem with turning 30 is that I wanted to be in great shape when I did and wasn't  Sad
