I've had an extended absence, too, and doesn't it feel nice to start reclaiming parts of your routine and your life?!? I missed your blog; I'm happy to know you've posted again!

Danielle, this recently happened with my 9-year-old granddaughter who is healthy and beautiful in every sense of the word. We were HORRIFIED and TERRIFIED. I'm off to read your post... Just wanted you to know that you're not in it alone.

Oh my gosh, I knew I was going to love your blog as soon as I heard "Baby of Mine" playing. That was my favorite lullaby to sing to my older son.... Oh, man, thanks SO MUCH for the walk down memory lane; he is 18 now and I don't want those early memories ever to fade! Your photos are priceless!

General Boards / Chit Chat / I've missed you guys!

I haven't posted in FOREVER and I'm so sorry! I've been (pneumonia, bronchitis and a sinus infection) for most of the last month and it has taken a lot to get me feeling even minimally human again. Getting a couple of posts a week on the blog has been a major challenge! I plan to spend this weekend getting all caught up and reading the blogs of all the new members (if that's even possible!). My blog, like my life, has taken a new direction with decidedly more of a Christian bent than it had before. Just wanted to let you guys know that in case you might find the more spiritual nature offensive -- some people have. Anyhoo, looking forward to getting caught up! Hope everybody has been happy and healthy!

Can you go in on Feedburner to your account and check the feed name? On Feedburner itself the feedname is showing up as http://feeds.feedburner.com/NancysHomeWorkForYou which Feedburner says cannot be located. Make sure that that feed name is pointing to the actual blog and then go into Wordpress and make sure that the feedname is correct there and matches Feedburner. I use a Feedburner widget on my WP blog and that makes everything much easier I think.

LonKir, I like your style! . How did he propose? He didn't. After 3 years I figured it was high-time we got married. I literally pushed him to the ground and sat on his chest holding a calendar over him and telling him to pick a date! Not very romantic, but it worked!

Hi. I knew from about month 4 that my first might be a C-section. He was tracking big and I'm anatomically pretty short and narrow through the pelvis (though I wish I LOOKED narrow). My doc wanted me to try to deliver on my own rather than schedule a C-section so that's what we did. 18+ hours, Pitocin, hours of what they termed "hard labor" later, I had only dilated to 2.5 cm and was stuck. The baby and I were both in distress according to the monitors so they went ahead and did an emergency C-section. Kid ended up being 9 lbs 2 ounces and 23 inches long. Doc said I would have never been able to deliver him on my own. With baby #2, I wasn't risking him or me so I insisted on a C-section rather than trying VBAC. As it turns out, baby 2 was a whole lot smaller and probably I could have gotten him out but those last few minutes with baby #1 and me were just too scary to risk again.

Your blog is so pretty and you are so brave posting your weights. I will post about almost anything else before I'd post that -- my hat is off to you! I've added you to my reader!
Did you ever watch the West Wing? I would love to have a long lanky body like the CJ Cregg or Donna Moss characters have! What I have, instead, is short and round -- but, hey, round is a shape, right?
