Hello ladies,

I'm needing to get more traffic to my blog as well as tips to bring up my pr.

I've been posting on forums, commenting on blogs and submitting to search engines.

Do you have any other tips to bring traffic?  What do you do?

Thank You,
Angela

Getting indexed into search engines takes time.
Do you have banners for your site that others can post on theirs? That may be something to try.

No, I don't have banners.  I could make some, though.

I've had my blog for some time but it only had a PR2 on Google.  Now 0 because of PPP and I'm trying to bring that back up.  Not sure if I can do it or not but I'm willing to try.

Thanks for helping out.

I wouldn't concentrate on your page rank. Playing by google's rules is like playing golf in the dark!
A huge thing to concentrate on is back links. The more back links you have - the higher your page rank. This is basically how many links are pointing back to you.
You have a niche site for sure. Find other sewing related sites and see if you can guest blog for them and link back to you. There are a ton of social networks you can find that have guest blogging openings as well.
The more content they have - the more keywords for them. More traffic for them = higher exposure to your content and it's a link for you!
I hope that makes sense.  Smiley

Grocerymama is right don't play Googles PR game...I have seen sites that get little or no traffic and have high PR, and others that get a lot of traffic and have no PR.  Google is down on anything to do with wah.

Keep working on those backlinks and pretty soon you will have your indexing back.  It takes time, but then time we have.

So true, Nancy.  I never really thought about it like that.

Thank You,

I like http://blogcarnival.com. It lists blogs that are hosting carnivals or different themes. You can submit one of you posts to them. Then the day of the carnival, they link to you and your post on that topic.

There are people offering guest blogging spots on this forum. Michelle has her mommy confessions on mondays - very popular blog!

Google for blogs that are in your niche and contact them. See if they woudn't mind featuring you for a day. Most bloggers would probable like a day off Smiley

I contribute to both poshmama.com and savings.coolsavings.com on a weekly basis. Both high traffic sites and I still have a pr of 0  crying. So I don't play google's game. I write well, get traffic and go from there!

Give this a try http://www.blogads.com/advertiser_html and you may want to buy text links to build some back-links to your site http://www.backlinks.com -- the less time-consuming your campaigns the better.

So I asked someone I know that has over 10,000 hits per month how she got so many readers.  She said she just commented on a bunch of blogs, and people started linking to hers.  She says she didn't do any sort of advertising stuff or anything.  So...I'm trying to just comment on peoplse and see if that gets me hits! LOL

Aimee this is great advice!
Make a number for yourself of how many comments you want to make a day.
Be loyal to your blog rolls. I click on the blogs in them so I'm sure to leave comments on blogs that also show my link!
Plus it's fun to visit and read blogs!

Another thing I've done is sign up at blogexplosion.  This is a place where you surf member blogs for credits and then your credits are used to put your site into the rotation.

I've tried some of the other traffic exchanges (and they do help with PR rankings, but not genuine readers), but I've had decent luck with blogexplosion as it is designed specifically for blogs so the people browsing or bloggers and more interested.

If you check it out and like it, I'd love to refer you, but if not you can just sign up on your own....

If you are interested in my referral link, you can PM me or email me at allaboutkimberly AT gmail DOT com or just head over to my blog and click on blogging links....you'll find it there too.
