Okay, so I have photoshop elements 6.0 downloaded and can't figure out how to design a button!  And I need to make it clickable.  I know I could pay someone to do it but, I kind of want to try to do it myself.    Does anyone know how?

Also, how could I take a design from istock and put it in photoshop to design a button?

Designing the button and making it clickable are two different things.  So I'll break it up for you.

To design the button, you will need to know what size button you want and start with that on your photoshop.  Blank canvas set to the size you want.  Then if you want a colored or patterned background, you'd add that.  Add any text you want, and a picture if wanted.  Save as a jpg or gif if animated and voila.

then to make it clickable, you would use HTML.

The code would look something like this

<a href="Link URL here"><img src="picture URL here"></a>

I just always open the picture in photoshop and Crop what I want out of it, resize it to fit my canvas, then copy it,  then open my blank canvas and paste.

Yes! I want to see how your buttons turned out! I am sooo primitive when it comes to buttons. I don't want to pay for them to be done, but I won a blog makeover a few months back and she made the button for me. For my other blog I jused used Paint on my computer.. I know.. that is sooo lame, but you work with what you got! LOL
