I was glad my first child was boy.  I think because my husband wanted a boy so badly.  Also, my mother kept insisting he was going to be a girl because of old wise tails.  She also says (according to the old wise tail-the pencil test) that I am going to have three children. Well I told her that one is enough for us.  Which now she is mad.  Oh well cannot make everyone happy.  Like I told her it is my body and our finances so she gets no say so.  So far that has not worked.  Especially since my son turned two last month.  I keep telling her that even if we wanted more kids we do not want such a close age gap.

I love having a boy.  If I have another, Fantastic!
If I have a girl next I love the fact that she would have an older bro to "protect" her.
I have an older brother and we are very close!

I have one boy and one girl. I really didn't care which I got first, I just wanted my girl! Since I got her first, I didn't really care if I had a boy or girl next. I was a bit scared at the prospect of having a boy (they seemed soooo rough & tumble to me) but now that he's here I couldn't imagine life w/o him.

And I've totally embraced the rough & tumble in him. I even encourage it! He's so much fun ! Smiley

I wanted a son first, as I was the oldest, with a younger brother, and I had always wished my brother was older, so that he could protect me. And I lucked out, as my first child was a boy! Now I'm hoping that if/when we have a second child, it's a girl! I just can't resist passing on my girly side! But, I'd of course still be happy if we had a boy Cheesy

I prayed and prayed my first would be a girl, just in case I never ended up with more than one child and I've always wanted a girl...I got lucky Smiley
