Hello ladies,
It's me Suzanne I do not know how many of you know me but I know a few have checked out my website and my blog. I am interested in starting a momblog weight loss, like the biggest loser and maybe we can exchange receipes and get thru the rough spots together.
Of course this would be on the honor system. My goal is to lose about 30 pounds. I like to count calories it is just easier for me.
Tell me what you like to do so we can share.

I was thinking of starting one as well. I have 25 lbs to go. But I wasn't sure if I had the time to keep a 2nd blog up and going. Let me know what you have in mind!

This could be done right here  computer. We can keep it simple and just put down weekly results with daily hints and ideas. If the ladies would like they can give their start weight and there goal weight but it is not necessary.
 I will start I am 48 years old and 5'9" tall and weight right now 185lbs about 2 weeks ago I got on the scale and it said 199lbs piggy that really scared me so I started to count calories  Lips Sealed and now I have to add exercise   jumping  and some walking laughing to help in losing weight.
This weight thing all started with menopause and me quittting smoking. After menopause I packed on about 10 lbs  crying and it never went anywhere. I then found out that you can gain weight after menopause and surprise it is not as easy too lose. So now I have quit smoking for about 3 or 4 years and have I went thru menopause since I was 42. Add I all I have is this extra weight.  dunno
You know what they say is that life catches up to you and with my mom sick and all the other things of daily life my belly is just getting bigger. LOL So I am not giving up  surrender I will try again to meet my goal.
So lets not go tru this alone have everyone join in.  I will be posting some of this on my blog. The more the merirer. clap

Sounds like a great idea, I think you should add it to you blog, one day a week, do the weighin thing. tips about ways to lose, and have other peoples tips, etc. etc

I began in October of 2007. I needed to lose about 30 pounds. I lost it by the end of February...maybe into March. I've been maintaining since then. I actually would love to lose another 5 or so...but it's not coming off. I'd love to participate as maitenence is equally as important as the original loss.

I think I will use Wednesday as the day for our weight issues. It will be on my blog and I will call it  Weigh Less Wednesday's. We all have to hope that we will weigh less on Wednesday, LOL
I will be looking forward to all who want to join in.

OK, I don't want to spoil anyones fun here, so if you don't like what I am going to say, then please just turn a deaf ear--or blind eye?  giggle
Anyway, I was so sick of the roller coaster with my weight I marched my 60 lbs. too heavy keyster to my doc and said, "I just want to lose weight.  I quit smoking and had a baby.  I don't want to count calories or worry that I am going to be hungry all the time when I get a carrot for lunch.  I'll do my part and exercise and drink water.  Now, what can you do for me?"

He put me on medication.  Lost not quite 30 pounds in six months~halfway there!   dancing The best part is, I changed nothing.  I simply eat less because I get full immediately.  But I still eat whatever I want.  LOVE IT!!!!!!  No crazy side effects either!   sick

I don't know if I am allowed to 'push' the drug here, so I'll keep it anonymous unless anyone is interested.

I also started my own journey to weight loss a week ago, along with my 2 friends.   I was about 10 lbs overweight when I became pregnant last April.  I gained over 80 lbs with my pregnancy.  That's not a typo - eighty lbs!  I lost a lot of it through nursing, and just not being so ravenous after I had my baby boy.  So now I have about 25 lbs to lose.   I lost 2 lbs last week, woohoo!  I'm not limiting the types of foods that I can eat, only my overall calorie intake.

I'm doing checkins on Mondays with the 3 Mommies.  Not a whole lot changes in 2 days, so I can use my Monday progress with you guys.  Good luck everyone!

Well I wish you all luck...I can't lose any weight.

I always have about 5lbs that I think I should get rid of, but, the first place I lose it is my tush ...because of using a wheelchair I simply cannot afford to lose my butt! So my 5 pounds are staying right where they are!

I never have trouble losing the weight when I try, it literally falls off me (I'm sorry to those of you that have to struggle to get the weight off), I know all I need to do to lose weight it cut back on carbs, carb's are my enemy!

I'd give anything if I could take some of the "fat" that comes off you all and add it to my butt!

I'm very blessed with some family gene's...all my family is rather slim.

Be careful with the medication because after you stop taking them you can put on weight again and sometimes fast.
I put on most of my weight after I quit smoking and then started menopause I still have not smoked and have been done with my cycle since I was 42 about 6 years but have still kept the extra weight.
When you count calories it is just to get started and you are not reallly hungry and you should not have just a carrot for lunch. My lunch will consist of a turkey on light white bread with lite mayo and a salad with maries thousand island and a cup of soup and a soda. Sounds pretty good and I am not hungry.
