A Los Angeles woman claims she was injured by her Victoria's Secret thong, prompting her to sue the underwear manufacturer.

The plaintiff in the case, Macrida Patterson, 52, attributed the May 2007 injury to a Victoria's Secret "low-rise v-string," according to a court document posted on The Smoking Gun.

Patterson's lawyer told The Smoking Gun that a "design problem" caused a decorative metallic piece on the underwear to fly up and hit Patterson in the eye while she was putting the underwear on.

Patterson's product liability lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last week.

LOL. That's so sad. People don't even know how to put on undies these days.

Did the metal piece fly off and hit her, or was it a dangly bit or something?  ponder

Perhaps people like her are the reason why there are instructions on toothpick and matches boxes...

ok, I've got to ask...how did she hit herself in the eye while putting the thong on? Could it mean she has her head up her *ss?

people sue for anything now.  The sad part she might actually win.  It kind of like a couple of years ago a woman sued Mcdonalds and won because she burnt herself with coffee.  Well I don't know about anyone else but when I get my coffee I would like it hot.  Now I know why they have  to put a disclaimer on the cup.  Wonder if she would have sued if it was cold?

There are surely IDIOTS everywhere. I mean seriously I wear thongs and I manage not to INJURE myself...
When I feel they are dangerous to me, I'll stop wearing them.
Pretty soon we will  have to sign a disclaimer...
