I have two blogs. That's all I can do. I try to post to each at least a couple of times per week. At the beginning I had them combined, but some of the readers asked me to seperate them, so I did.

I've thought about starting a second one, but right now it's all I can do to keep up with one... Smiley

If you want to hive off part of your blog content (eg the 'serious stuff') for a new blog or subblog, one way to go might be to link up with someone else with similar interests (someone who's been commenting regularly on your existing blog, say) and launching a joint effort for the new one.

That way, the pressure to produce twice as much content as before would be much reduced, there'd be more input and creativity and perhaps your collaborator could 'import' some of her existing readership to give the new (sub)blog a flying start.

That was a very great idea, Cloudster!  I launched the second blog last night (ironically right about the same time you were posting here!) but I might look at having some other folks contribute.  Thanks!

I am new to the conversation, but I wanted to say, I have two blogs... they are linked by my profile, but I separated my craft one from my family one so that my family wouldn't have to be bored to death with my card making and my card friends would not have to be bored with my mundane life. lol

I have three blogs, too. I'm glad I did it, because I felt like I had way too different subjects.

I mean, I have a:

1. pink writing as a stay-at-home mom blog http://pink-ink-pink.blogspot.com
2. a horse show mom blog http://green-broke.blogspot.com
and
3. a horror fiction blog http://its-black-out.blogspot.com

I couldn't really put them all together in one blog without looking too schizo. :-)

Hmmm, I'd have to cut back on the frequency of posting on our sole blog (one post a day at the moment) to maintain two.

But it might keep things fresh, though.
