Just a few questions

1) Have been married for 11 years

2) He was my neighbor, I hated hiom thought he was a weirdo!  He came over in a foam cheese hat(Packer fan)  I am not from WI thought that was the strangest thing i have EVER seen

3) We dated for 4 years then  got pregnant  got married 3 weeks after we found out we were having a baby!

1. How long have you been married?  It was 19 tears on April Fool's Day!

2. Where did you meet your husband?  Online actually

3. How did he propose?  He didn't.  We had been living together to make sure that he and his kids (he had custody of his 3 teens) and I would all get along.  We were very much in love and just sort of knew that we would get married.  It really just became an issue of when.

How did we meet? He walked in to my work to see a friend of his that i worked with.  We met and the rest is history
How did he propose? Our favorite was Borders bookstore because we are both avid readers and he proposed their. 

I love being married (and i married young-19) but it was the best decision we ever made.  Not only that but welcoming our son 3 years later was the best to.  One of the things i always tell people is to have a happy marriage even after kids is you need to spend time together alone.  I think being married for 3 years before our son arrived helped is form a close bond and work out any bumps.  Now we communicate better and not so much yelling and fighting.  We are both stubborn but we  have learned to Negotiate.  twice a month we have date nights and on those nights our son goes to his grandparents to stay the night.  just because you have children does not mean life has to revolve around them 24/7.  Plus, i believe children are better adjusted when they see mom and dad having fun.

How long have yo been married? A Long 9 years.
How did we meet? We meet at college. I really didn't want to get to know any guy. My focus was college. But we talk and than went out and the rest is history.
How did he propose? He came into my bedroom got down on one knee and he started while he was asking me. It was really sweet. It was so funny, I got my mother's ring the same way this year. I was getting ready and they gave my ring to me.  It has been good and bad. I mean if we didn't have Christ in the middle of our marriage we prob. wouldn't survive!!!

I have been married for 23 years this August.

We met at my nieces christening (he is her godfather and I am her godmother)

didn't like each other at first, then dated for 3 years....were looking for a house, and we put a bid on one, that night he called me up, and said we needed to talk about getting married, I hung up on him. He then showed up at the door. We had ordered our wedding bands, and when he got them, he came over to give me them, and in the box was also an engagement ring.

We have been married 27 years.

We met in highschool.  Started dating when he was about to leave for college.  I am much younger than he is - 2 years.

He asked me to marry him while we were driving to dinner with 2 other couples.  I asked him to check with me the next day.  He did.  We did.

 He was the bartender at the restaurant that I waited tables.  I hated him at first.  I even had a conversation with him about all the reasons why I would NEVER go out with him. *open mouth and insert foot* 

3. How did he propose? He just rolled over in bed and asked me to be his wife. We had pretty much already decided to get married before that.

As I said in a previous post I have been married to the same man (oh Lord!) for 38 years. 

We meant on a blind date on Halloween (that should have been an indicator of our life)

He proposed the same night..and fool that I was I accepted.  But it has been fun!  Most of the time.

Hey all...Loved hearing how you all met your hubbies!  Fun!

1. How long have you been married? I have been married for 1.5 years.  We got married on Valentine's Day 2007.

2. Where did you meet your husband? online.  Match.com 

3. How did he propose?  We went to PA to visit my parents for Mother's Day.  My brother and his girlfriend (at the time...his wife now) also came.  My parents friends have a cabin in the Poconos so we went there for the weekend.  On the last day we were taking a hike and we came to a clearing that was gorgeous.  My hubs started to make a speech and before I knew it he was down on his knee proposing....in front of my family!  It was very special since I am very close with my fam.  He's a keeper!

Here's mine:
1. How long have you been married? 6 years (we've been together for 14 years though).

2. Where did you meet your husband? We met at university. I was in my first year and I went to visit a friend of mine and he was in my friend's room. He had just shaved off his mohawk and was playing with a butterfly knife... I thought "No way". But then he started talking about photography and philosophy and... well, he's charming. We became friends first and then, after about a year (his hair grew back and he gave up the knives) we became more.

3. How did he propose? We had already been living together for several years, but he wanted to make it special. We talked about getting married at a vineyard so he made reservations at a vineyard for dinner and was going to propose there... but we never made it. We got hit by a drunk driver on the way to dinner. Luckily, the only thing that was seriously damaged was his brand new car (the other guy was in a truck that was already pretty beat up and he had a 24 in the front seat with him  ) Anywhoo... after the tow truck ride home, we ordered some sushi (it was 11 o'clock at night by the time we got the food) and he got down on one knee and proposed. I felt so bad that his plans were ruined, poor guy.

We met through a mutual friend at his then apartment

3. How did he propose?
We went to the duck pond in Victoria (TX) and both sat down in the gazebo, and he asked me.  Earlier he had even asked my parents permission.

1. How long have you been married? Paul and I will be married 11 yrs this October.

2. Where did you meet your husband? In jail!  lol! We were both detention officers for the sheriff's office at the time.

3. How did he propose? He didn't. After 3 years I figured it was high-time we got married. I literally pushed him to the ground and sat on his chest holding a calendar over him and telling him to pick a date! Not very romantic, but it worked!

I hope I am not showing my age but here it goes!!!!

1. How long have you been married?     This July it will be 12 years

2. Where did you meet your husband?     We were friends in the Navy Pharmacy Tech school.

3. How did he propose?     His mother asked us to give her at least six months before we decided to get married.  That told the both of us we needed to get the ball rolling!  LOL
