The almighty comment

I'm sure that like me, many of you are thrilled to see comments on your blogs. I have been so excited to see messages from Mom bloggers since joining up here!
Not sure how to go about doing anything differently than I am now, but why don't we all try maybe a featured blog of the day where we all sign up here and then somehow get a rotation going?
what do you all think?

Yes, I think that is a great idea !  Everyone seems to have such interesting blogs, & it would also be a nice way to 'get around' & view them all

I love getting comments, but am sometimes too timid to leave a comment on someone else's blog.  Sounds odd I know. LOL

 I like that idea as well.
You know, this could be done so easy if everyone would sign up for entrecard. You first there is a new thing one of the mom blogs set up called ringsurf.
 What happen is everyone registers thier site on that ring and then all you have to do is press next to visit the next blog.
Then not only are would we be able to quickly visit each of our homegirls here but then we would also be building our credit to advertise on each others blogs and others to bring more in our ring.
Plus whenalso add each of us to our favorites and writes a recommendation for each other to entice more people. Just a thought!

I'll look into entrecard tonight. My mom watched buttercup for me this afternoon so I got plenty of work done, which means I can actually investigate some of these things before I go to bed.

i'm looking into it right now... but i agree i love having comments, but i allways feel odd about commenting on someone's blog. specially cause i forget to book mark them, and i dont want them to think i'm spamming their blog.. but then when people comment on mine i dont mind that they post theirs.. so i . lol i guess i'm just one confusing girl!.

I love comments but I am bad about leaving comments on other blogs. If I bother to click out of Google Reader and go to the actual blog I usually leave a comment though.

Oh I love that idea AND I love comments!  I'm like Aimee though, too shy sometimes to speak up!  I have no idea why.  I must be more confident some days than others.

This reminds me--I need to get blogging.  I've been ignoring the blogs for a bit and have some friends to tend to. 

I really hope we do this though.  I think it's a great idea!

My internet has been flaky the last couple of days-so I'm sorry I haven't commented anyone back that has commented me, but trust me...They WILL come!   I love all the comments I'm getting guys, Keep em coming, its making me feel good!!!

ok-i'm too lazy for entrecard. i will, however, do something here... if you r interested send me a private message your blog link and i will create a master list. then i'll post it here and every day one of my posts will list the blog of the day.

Entrecard is great for getting lots of hits but not for comments.  Most people come by just to hit the card drop thing and leave.  It takes a lot of time to build up points too. 

Personally I think it's better to find some blogs you like and comment on them.  Also link to the sites/blogs that inspired your post (if that's what inspired it).  If nothing else the owner of the blog will come by your site.

Okay-here is my new idea. revised a bit.
Please visit the Want to Blogroll thread and check out the post by Dominique that has code to add a blogroll to your site. if you are already added, wonderful. if not, PM her or post your link in a reply so she can add you.
New entries should automatically go up from what I understand.
What I plan to do, starting in a few minutes, is to choose a random blog from the blogroll each day to feature in a new post each day in this thread, encouraging members to flood the featured blog with comments! As a moderator, I need to post a bunch every day, anyway, so this is easy for me.
What do you think?
