Hello, everyone! I just started blogging last week. I am the mother of one son who was still born on May 27th of this year. (on our wedding anniversary also....)
I hope that by blogging about our story, I can help others to deal with their own loss. I think it is also helpful if you haven't experienced it, so that you know a little bit about how to help those who have. Everyone deals with pain differently. Everyone grieves differently. I hope that my blog can help others who are having trouble. That helps me.
We do plan to try again. (in the near future) I started my blog now so that I can tell Lane's story and can sort through my emotions as we try again and go through another pregnancy. We have also experienced two miscarriages before Lane, so I know that our next pregnancy will be an exciting and scary time. I am on a year's leave from my teaching job (on what was supposed to be a year maternity leave) so I thought that I would put my English degrees to work and try to sort through my own emotions and hopefully help others to do the same.
It is a sad story. But it is also a story of love and strength.

You can find me at ourbumpyride.blogspot.com. I hope that you take a few moments to take a look. Please feel free to leave comments Smiley

Hi! And welcome.

Somewhere within this site is a place for parents that have lost children. My daughter Madeleine would have been celebrating her 21st birthday on 11/07 of this year. She died when she was seven years old. Her twin brother Travis, is a junior at Marquette University in Wisconsin.

And we do all certainly handle death differently. And there are days that you really don't expect to be affected and "ta da" something sneaks up and whacks you a good one, even after fifteen years.

Writing certainly does help and as a "veteran" if I can do anything to help you let me know.
