Oh my goodness... what a nerve racking night!  He had his Tae Kwon Do Black Belt test that lasted over 2 hours.  No air conditioning.. the kids were very very hot.  He went into it feeling faint and nauseous .. he hadn't eaten much the last few days and had a LONG week with many late nights of homework etc.    When they got to the sparring, after spending 40 minutes or so doing all their curriculum .... 3 minutes with a black belt who was all rested - it was sooo hard to watch.  He was so tired and was white as a ghost - I thought he was going to pass out.  I ended up in tears watching him as we all yelled and cheered him on.   But Yeah! He passed.  He promotes in 2 weeks and we are so proud of him.   Just had to share :-)

Cool, you know that bumper sticker that says, "my kid could kick your honor kid's butt"?  We have it Wisconsin, that's for sure.  But you are one of the few that I know that can  honestly use it!

ha! I've seen that one too.

Might look funny next to the honor's student sticker though lol

Hey - he could kick his own butt!

Congrats to your son!  It sounds like he really worked hard and deserves this black belt.

how cool.  i've always wanted to be a 'black belt' in something.  it just sounds so tough.  as it is right now I don't even own a black belt--much less have anything resembling a waist line enough to wear one!!!!! Cheesy

That is awesome!  Now you have a bodyguard when you go to the mall!

He must be very proud of himself and I know you are proud of him!
