We're either at zero or not ranked, depending on Google's mood for the day.

Google has a crazy way of doing the PR that no one can possibly understand.  And if you're doing paid posting on your blog you're not very likely to get your PR.  And if you have a PR you're not very likely to keep it.

If you're not doing any paid posting on your blog then given some time and traffic and links to your site you should end up with a PR.

My page rank is 4. Lots of backlinks. Steady stream of good content. Good keywords. Meta tags. Time. I was at a 0 for the first 6 months of my blog.

I know you have talked in other places about using PPP- and chances are if you continue to work with PPP you will never get a PR.  Google does not like PPP and will take away the PR (if you have one) on blogs that use PPP once they find out about it.  Last year, around this time, there were many bloggers who were making decent money with PPP and had 3, 4 even higher PR's and Google reduced all of them to 0.  Some have regained their PR now.  But, for the most part if you use PPP you won't get a PR.

thanks, that's another reason why I want to get a higher PR, but how they (google) gonna do that, bec google also own Smorty's who do the same thing as PPP and  some opps also requires a higher PR, and most of the blogs that do PPP also do Smorty's.

Pretty much if you do any paid posting you put yourself at risk for losing (or never getting) a PR.

Hope it works out of you!

OK, want to desperately have some words of wisdom on this one, but ***big sigh*****  this is all GREEK to me.

Now, if you had a problem with say, cleaning a pan, or fixing a vacuum, well feel free to ask.

Sorry, Fickleminded, feeling a little silly this AM.  party time

Hi,
Don't worry too much about PR and stuffs like that. Its not the most important thing for a blog. Having good content is key. I have seen sites with low PR outranking sites with higher PR. But just in case you are still keen on PR, my suggestion is to try commenting on site with pages with an already high PR. This way, the PR values will pass on to you..

Most blogs are set up so that comments are "nofollow".  That means that leaving a comment does not help your PR at all.  Some people have a special plug in on their blogs to make it so that their comments "follow" but most do not.

I also agree that PR doesn't really mean much.  I've seen great blogs with 0 PR and terrible blogs with high PR.  BUT, if you want to do advertising on your blog- the advertisers usually look at your PR to determine the value of your blog.  They are wrong to look at it that way, but many do.

see, this "no-follow" comments really sounds like an alien to me, I have no  single Idea (with capital I) how this things works.
Most of you already knew that I do blog ads, and some blog ads still rely on PR (which I think is unfair)  that's why I want to have at least 1.Since my PR is 0, i usually get the lame opps, but then some don't really matter, like Smorty's, they don't care with PR, but what they want is your blog to be google  crawable (new terms for searchable, that's for you yayamommy Wink    j/k)
