You really need to find that one thing that will attract readers...  I have a friend who has really figured out what it takes, unfortunately, for me.. I just don't have it and I'm too lazy to make it work. LOL   She finds something that is "hot" right now, like American Idol was and she focuses on that through her blog, it's made her Adsense $ jump tremendously.  She also had a blog that focused on a new show that came out, and not only did she make a lot of income, she turned around and sold that blog for thousands.  She blogs about things that are hot in the news, that makes her high on the google searches and people come through.

There are a lot of great suggestions here.  You need to really push your blog to the limits, make it known and so on. It can be done, just takes a lot of hard work.

yeah-for me right now it is the love and need to write. it's what i do. and while i am up at all hours trying to blog and generate interest and getting jealous at all the cool blogs i find and wishing i had done something different or whatever, i wouldn't continue if i didn't enjoy it.
for me, i just want to write. my freelance writing will help me pay the bills, but hopefully one day i can say that blogging will to...
but again, i'm only interested in the advertising aspect of it. i love that there are so many opportunities to make money posting, but it's just not for me.
