It is shameful huh?
And to think he should teach at an alternative school with the troubled children? Why - because he is troubled and one will cancel the other out? Are they MAD?

Thanks Nancy.
It is an interesting thing to be in an interracial marraige.
It's tough some times... but after I get over the anger I almost always feel bad for the ignorant folks who are so racist. It's a sad sad way to live your life don't you think?

Yes, I do think so...I lived through the 60's when the Civil Rights act was put into law.  Sadly I grew up in a town that had few blacks, and those that were there stayed to themselves and never crossed the line.  Although I didn't grow up here in Michigan, I remember the race riots vividly.  I remember Dr. King and his speech and being awed by him and his words.  I also remember having to read a book by a black author for an English class in high school, and being told by my mother that I wasn't allowed to read it, because of his views.  I had to go and tell my black teacher that, I was so embarrassed.  I never forgot those feelings, nor will I ever.

It is not healthy both spiritually or mentally for the children or adults.

Oh I am so sorry.
My family is mostly from Texas/TN and we lived lots of places because of the Navy.
But in Houston, we went to a private school... and they gave "black children" scholarships for sports.
Well this guy was in my math class and he called me. My father sent my brother to school with a warning that if he ever called me again... he'd have the football team from the public school around the corner pay him a visit.  In other words - the kid was black... calling me about MATH... and my dad FREAKED.
No he loves my husband... and it was almost 20 years after that incident that Marque asked for my hand in marraige... Do you know he apologized to my husband for ever feeling that way!? People can change... they just need to be educated.
I thought I'd put a happy twist in there. The rest is so gross.

That's just terrible.  I am not an Obama fan but I can't imagine disrespecting the president or any black man like that.
