I watched parts of it.  I was working on packing for a weekend trip we're taking, so I was in and out of the room.  But, from what I saw- I thought they both did well.

I'm not sure I could say there is a winner. You are right, they both did incredibly well.

I honestly think neither REALLY answered WITH SUBSTANCE any question and I'm disappointed in both.
I do think one did better than the other, but like Cheese&Whine, I'll not give that away.

As an aside, I've heard a few comedians say... If it was a popularity contest and a who's cuter contest - then I think she won. But I'm not sure I think that POPULARITY in terms of cuteness or who I could have a cup of coffee with should be a deciding factor in a Prez race. I want to know  that they can stare down a dictator or save our country from disaster.

We may never really know who is best.

And that is all I have to say about that.. lol

Really?
I didn't see the full debate (since our debate was on the same night) but I saw clips and from what I saw... well... I know I few debate coaches and I have to say that she'd be kicked off the debate team. She acted as though she was doing an interview, not participating in a debate. I can't even believe the moderator allowed it.
Yes, politicians evade questions, but to tell people that she was going to choose what she would answer and to completely ignore the questions directed at her... wow. Also the winking, the cutesy/folksy colloquialisms... none of those things have any place in a formal debate. She clearly knows nothing and has no respect for the process. That's pretty insulting to the American people imo.

Let me clarify... I don't think she won.  I think she is offensive and insulting.
But the comedians were saying how if it was a beauty pageant or a popularity contest in high school - she would have won.

She is clearly NO debater.
