Have you ever had to juggle a new career and scared out of your wits because the new job is NOTHING like what you have done so far ? and at the same time, you are worried that your new boss may not be understanding enough should you have to run off home to take care of your kid because the nanny is not available?

I am dealing with this right now.. .

Please share how do you cope..  dunno

Oh I am so sorry you are dealing with a lot.
But I will say this... if you have a NANNY that is not available - call an agency and hire a new one. If you like/need your job, don't let him/her ruin it for you or cause you undo stress.  If he/she does that now, she will also ruin a job you do like! That is NOT cool at all!
AND if your career is nothing that you want or thought it would be, take a deep breath and write out the pros/cons of the job... and get your resume back out there. Keep trying till you find what you love to do. Of course, don't leave until you have another if you NEED the income (which most of us do).

Again, it sounds very stressful and I am sorry.

One day at a time.

I agree with Em. If you are not happy, get your resume back out there. Keep looking.

I can relate somewhat.  I go to school full-time, take care of my son, my husband recently out of town.  it can be overwhelming at times.  I always have to take a step back and breathe.  Look for a new nanny if you can.  Also a new job if you can.  Hope it gets better and know you are in my thoughts and not alone.  I feel better knowing now I am not alone! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you all for your kind words. I felt so much better after reading all the options given. Will be going to a career fair this weekend with the hubby. Hopefully something better will come along..  daisy
