I also do not blog about politics or read blogs about politics.  For me, I like to read typical mommy blogs and I don't like getting into controversy.  I'm the same way in person too- I usually avoid controversy and confrontation at all costs, but that's just me.  If you have a typical mommy blog with a political post thrown in now and then I'd probably read it.  But, if your blog is filled with political stuff- I would probably stop reading.

I am surprised how many of the mom-type blogs I have actually do weave their politics through their posts.  Again, that is there freedom of choice but I am consistantly surprised where politics is showing ...

remember the olden days when women wore slips?  And you would walk past and say very quietly, "pssst, your slip is showing"

Just had that thought pass through my mind.  Random, of course.

Yeah, funny how we used to be so discreet ... like wearing our bras underneath our clothes!

So off topic, so sorry.  Maybe I have too much time on my hands!

I still do that if someone's slip is showing...
LOL
And I am so happy that women are into politics and rallies and being green advocates and advocates in general! Yes ma'am! I love it!

oops I am surprised that some still wear slips.  Of course I haven't had a dress on in over 30 years, don't own, so it does come as a surprise.   clap

Sometimes you still have to wear a slip... maybe your skirt is see-through, or maybe just to fend off static cling!  I don't wear one often, but I do on occassion have to use one.

I ordered suits for my interviews (I'm job hunting) and I ordered inexpensive ones because I'm doing WW and have lost ten and well, you get the pic... I didn't want to spend a ton. The site said they were lined... but it was apparently an INVISIBLE lining. So I had on spanx, hose, and a slip today! lol

LOL!
Love how this post went from politics to slips.
Ahhh... the beauty.
Anywhoo, I think it's hard to avoid politics during an election (luckily ours are only a month long so...)
And yeah, I still mainly blog about mommy stuff.

Alright, back to the elections for a minute then.

Gildna Radner had a recurring bit on SNL where she would come on as a slightly hearing impaired woman who gave speeches on current events but she would get just enough information wrong to make the skit absolutely hilareous!

Anyone old enough to remember the fantastic gilda radner skit on saturday night live ... she was an old lady giving a speech and she kept talking about not being able to understand why the presidential erections were any concern of ours.  After all, why would the presidential erections be any concern of ours, all erections should be private and nobody's business.

I do remember that skit!  Had forgotten about it though, it was hilarious!
Thanks for reminding me.
