I am not there yet. Maybe because I had my son so late in life... and maybe because luckily his school supplies the supplies... we just pay a fee. HAPPILY I might add. lol
He is also still young enough that I pick his clothes and I intend to as long as possible. We are in Texas, so shorts/golf shirts or t-shirts for school until late September or even October.  So I only had to buy a few things...

It is sad though that we put so much pressure on our children and ourselves. UGH!
Great post.

Don't get me started!

Too late, I am started.  I'll simmer down and come back on this one later otherwise it might be profanity-laced.

Let me just say I am almost done with the world's worst adult scavenger hunt EVER in the history of back to school.

In fact, STOP ME, this is my twenty second year of back to school shopping.  Consecutive. By the time this kindergarten girl graduates from high school I will have been at this back to school gig for thirty-four years straight.

Damn, you should have stopped me.

My county supplies the school supplies for everyone in the county.  I think is cool because i think about all the parents that cannot afford to give their children basic supplies.  I remember that in school.  I attend a local college and we always have list somewhat like high school, etc.  Add that on top of books(mine are 630.00) this year.  Thankfully financial aid but still.  I do not have to deal with school supplies for my son yet and I am thankful for that.
