we have a black lab, molly, who is ever so sweet and completely neurotic.  Cheesy she's great with the kids, but we adopted her from our shelter and they said she was a stray, but how many strays do you know that know commands like sit, lay down, and pay?  Sad and she cowers when someone raises their voice, we're pretty sure she was abused wherever she was before.

We have a chow mix.  He's a pain in my you know what!  We got him almost 3 years ago and he was amazing.  Then, 2 years ago we made the ... I don't want to mistake, but I'm not sure what it is ... either way, we got another dog.  He was lovable in his crazy way, but he wasn't very well behaved.  He just did his own thing and our first dog, Aries, didn't handle it well, I guess.  He is a great dog with us, but he can't handle new people.  I think he's overly timid and so when someone new comes over his first reaction is to scare them, I think so that they'll go away and he won't be scared anymore.  He looks like he's attacking, but I've had people over who are very comfortable with dogs and if the person just ignores him (no sticking your hand out or anything) he just goes off and eventually comes back to the person and is fine.

But, most people freak out and he ends up outside.  I hate it, but don't really know what else to do with him!  He wasn't too fond of our son at first and he still isn't super with him inside, but outside these two are great buddies and play for hours.  I'm thinking it's because Aries has more room to take off if ds starts pulling fur!

We have a 10 year old beagle/basset hound, Dottie.  She was my baby up until I had my first baby.  So, now Dottie has had her queen status removed.  She deals really well with Hailey, my 19 month old though.  Hailey loves Dottie, a little too much sometimes.  But, Dottie is very patient with her and puts up with ear and tail pulling quite well.

I have one dog, one horse, lots of chickens, which comes in real handy when most everyone loves eggs,a cat that just kinda made its self at home in the garage, a parakeet, a lovebird, and fish tank with fish.   I did have a couple of goats but I run out of space and had to get rid of them.

We have a 6 yr old German Wire-Haired Pointer.  She is pretty spunky and definitely has a personality!

We are "dog sitting" now for her sister but they don't get along at all.  Well, actually the sister doesn't like our dogfor some odd reason Huh?  So we have to keep them in separate rooms.  It's too bad because they could have a lot of fun Cry

Maybe we should contact the Dog Whisperer, lol.

We have Jackers, our beloved golden retriever of almost 6 years.  He is such a cuddle bug--will curl up next to me or Sophie at any time.  He loves to sleep on my pillows and rest his head on my shoulder at night.  He was bummed when Sophie got here because he lost his place in our big-ol-family bed, but he is loyally perched at our feet now-standing guard over our little princess.

Anyway,  he is loved and according to my hubby will live forever.  Can't even think about any other options.

Oh, and my entire house with the one exception of the kitchen is covered with dark forest green carpeting.  Yeah, and lite tan golden long hair heavy shedder.  I'm on my third vacuum in 2 years.  I think it's time to invest in a Dyson.

We have five personal cats, Dennis the Minus, Roger, Donna, Kevin and Kevin's cat Celene.  I have a slideshow of them posted on my blog.

I also foster for Specialty Purebred Cat Rescue and usually have about ten fosters at a time.

Yes, I am that crazy.

We have 4 dogs, and I feed & care for 'stray' dogs that live in villages bordering our farm, too.  (Sometimes I have up to 8 dogs around the place.)I rehome as many as I can & we also have 3 cats and another 2 'stray' cats who only come at night for food - am trying to tame them so that they can be 'caught' for spaying/vaccinations.

I live in a country where there are no proper animal welfare associations as such, so I just help out where I can as I cannot bear to see an animal suffering.  My husband just rolls his eyes  Roll Eyes and says oh, no, not another dog/cat ... don't think you're going to keep another one ?  So I just ignore him - ha !
